Because the generator had to be located away from the house we had to trench to the generator location.
After the electrical inspector looked over our work we carefully filled the trench and replaced the grass. This took a little coordination as we had to make sure to contact the inspector and the right time to perform the inspection.
We installed and underground propane line to the generator. You can also see the electrical lines emerging from the trench ready to be connected to the generator.
Our connections are complete. The Propane provides a full 7kw of power. It would be 1000 Watts less on natural gas.
Automatic transfer panel installed next to panel. We provided power for the micro, garage door, sump pumps and furnace.
