The amount of LP gas needed to run a standby Generator can really vary. The picture above its from a install we did in Snohomish. This customer has 400 gallons available which will cover them for about a 1 week outage. Since most outages are much shorter this Will work great for the customer. During cold times of the year these tanks output will drop significantly. A sigle 120 gallon tank at 32 degrees actually doesn’t have the capacity to run even a 10kw generator at full load. The gas cannot evaporate quickly enough at that cold temperature.
