It seems that some cities have spare time on their hands due to the slow economy. Some jurisdictions have kept busy by performing inspections of local businesses . We have received more than 1 call from businesses that have been given correction notices by the fire marshal. Most corrections are for repairing or installing new emergency exit signs and exit signs and special egress lights.
Most corrections cost less than 700 dollars . But and 1 case it cost about 2000 dollars to run a special circuit and conduit for egress lighting a long distance.
We installed exit signs for active transport in renton. They had the old incandescent exit signs that have lamps that burn out periodically and acquire ongoing maintenance . we got rid of those and put in the new LED exit signs that last almost forever!
