We buried the gas and electrical lines up to the generator. The electrical inspector gave us approval before we covered the electrical lines.

The city of Auburn approved our gas line work that was neatly routed inside the garage. A gas line pressure test showed that there were no leaks. This gas line is dedicated all the way back to the meter per Generac’s recommendations. To ensure maximum performance we correctly sized the gas line. Generally 1/2 and often 3/4 gas lines are too small to correctly operate the generator.

The combination generator-ATS supplies power to 12 circuits during an outage. An installation like this is the most cost effective way to connect your homes electrical system to an automatic standby generator. This is the most popular style of generator connection. There are numerous other ways to connect these generators, including a Generator Subpanel, the 200amp gen-ready load center, a 200amp SE Rated ATS. Ultimately the method chosen will depend on the the customers needs, code restrictions, and cost. Contact us for a free evaluation.
