Install the correct appliance circuit

Get you appliance circuit installed correctly the first time. Appliances incorrectly wired or installed can be damage or cause harm to your home.

Should I add a new outlet to prevent a circuit overload?

A circuit overload is very common occurrence and easy to have happened. Electrical circuits in are overloaded when a circuit is forced to carry more current than it is designed for. Other issues that can contribute to an overload are old worn receptacles, switches, and faulty connections. Most often the overload occurs when a new laser printer is plugged into the same circuit as the computer tower, lights, and plugs in room. Frequently this is too much load for the circuit and the breaker trips killing all the receptacles in the circuit.

To prevent circuit overloads and to reduce the risk of electrical fires, worn receptacles can be replaced, or upgraded, and additional circuits and receptacles should be installed at necessary locations. Let Washington Electrics residential electrical specialists replace and upgrade the receptacles in your home today?

  • GFCI receptacles – GFCI is an acronym for Ground fault circuit receptacles. These receptacles are equipped with sensors that can detect when a person is getting shocked from an electrical circuit. A GFCI senses the imbalance in current between the hot and neutral conductors and quickly turns the electricity off before an electrical shock can occur. Required GFCI locations are bathrooms, kitchens, garages, outdoors and other locations where an electrical shock might occur. Let us come identify locations needing GFCI’s to help keep your home safe.
